Congratulations to senior Katelyn Moore for being named as one of 120 finalists for the MHSAA Scholar Athlete Award! Katelyn participates in Cross Country and Track and is a member of the AP Society, National Honors Society and Student Senate.
The MHSAA Scholar-Athlete is the most prestigious award given out by the MHSAA each year. There are over 1,000 applicants each year and only 32 student-athletes from all over the state are chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship. To qualify for this award a student-athlete must have a GPA above 3.5, participated in at least one varsity sport must complete a short answer and essay questions based on achievement and leadership in athletics and activities. This is a very competitive scholarship and only three Grayling athletes have been named a finalist (Rachel Money – 2015, Scott Parkinson – 2013 & Griffin Dean – 2012).
