Anyone interested in participating in athletics for the 2020-21 school year must have a valid sports physical before they will be allowed to participate in any practice or game. Sports physical forms can be picked up in the Grayling High School Office or can be downloaded from the MHSAA website by clicking here. All new sports physicals must be dated after April 15, 2020 to be valid for the 2020-21 school year.
However for the 2020-21 school year the MHSAA sports physical requirement will be waived for students in any grade who received a valid physical for sports during the 2019-20 school year (one completed on or after April 15, 2019). These students and their parents/guardians will be required to complete the two-page MHSAA SPORTS HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE. These must be signed by student and parent/guardian and kept on file in the school. Students who did not receive a sports physical in the 2019-20 school year or later must have a valid physical examination form on file.
The Viking Wellness Center (located in room C309 at Grayling High School) is once again providing sports physicals for students. The VWC accepts all insurances, most of which cover one physical per year. Please contact the Viking Wellness Center at 989-344-3540 to set up your appointment today. If you cannot make it to the Viking Wellness Center, your primary physician or any urgent care or after-hour clinic can do sports physicals.
If you have any questions please contact the athletic office at 989-344-3523 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
