The Grayling Varsity Boys Basketball took part in the Motor City Roundball Classic on Friday, December 29.
The Motor City Classic Roundball Classic is the largest and longest running classic in the United States. It was started in 1995 at the University of Detroit Mercy as an eight-team, three-day tournament for boys only. The event has grown from an 8 team tournament to over 70 games for both boys and girls during the holiday season. Teams are invited throughout the entire state of Michigan as well as Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Ontario. Their are also a few teams from Illinois, northern Kentucky, and western Pennsylvania.
The Vikings faced off against very tough White Lake-Lakeland team losing 65-31. Connor Brill, Eli Jackson and Nick Hunter led the team in scoring.
The Varsity Basketball team moves to 3-3 on the season and will travel to East Jordan on Friday, January 5th.
