The Grayling Varsity Girls Basketball team took on Harrison on Wednesday, January 3rd in what could be a potential district semi-final matchup.

Both teams started out the game strong with the scores being tied at 11 and 20 after the first two quarters of play. The Hornets went on a run in the third to pull ahead and led by as many as 8 points before the Lady Vikes got back within two points with just over 3 minutes left in the game. It came down to who played better defense and hit more free throws at the end of the game with Harrison just barely beating out the Vikings to take a 41-36 victory.

Esa Powers finished the game with 13 points. Maddie Longendyke had 9 points, Ryleigh White had 6 points, and Isabel Duba had 6 points.

The Girls Basketball team travels to East Jordan on Friday, January 5th.
